Send your CAD files direct to us – preferably in 1:1 scale, and we can cut or produce tooling direct from your drawings! We can also use these to quote against – or if you do not have drawings, we’ll be happy to create CAD files for you.
From Micro to Macro
At EAS we are able to supply extruded Silicone rubber in any profile. From micro tubing with 0.25mm bore through to lay-flat tubing with 1mt bore !
With it’s inherent anti-stick properties, Silicone rubber is a relatively easy material to extrude using the correct equipment. Miniature profiles can be extruded using nozzles that resemble hypodermic needles, while complicated profiles fabric or metal inserts, dual hardness materials or plastic carrier are more technical to produce.
Standard Profiles ?
While we have thousands of standard profile tools available to use, finding the right one for your particular application can sometimes take much longer than cutting a new die!
Many of our tools are bespoke, and have been paid for by customers who then own the rights to that tooling. Because we honour this basic understanding with all our customers, it is normally much simpler for us to produce a new tool – even when the same part may be used by several customers.
The standard tools we have therefore, tend to be for simple shapes – round cords, square profiles and tubing.
Because of this we do not issue a catalogue of sections – but request that you send in your drawing or sample and let us do the detective-work! If we can come up with a profile that matches, and we are able to utilise the tooling without having to seek another clients approval – then we will quote immediately.
If not, our die charges start from just £30.00 and very rarely are more than £200.00 !
