With a threatening World shortage of Silicone Rubber looming, prices are potentially set to rise.

At EAS we are taking action to minimise the effect of this to our customers.

By negotiating long term contracts on raw materials (we mostly use Dow Corning for our moulding and extruding grades) we hope to maintain competitive levels into 2020.

Why Silicone Seals ?

Silicone is seeing a boom in use – even domestic kitchens now have several items of Silicone rubber cookware.

This diversity of use, combined with significant usage increase in the Far East has meant that suppliers are struggling to keep up with demand.

While new production plants are planned, these take a long time to build and start producing. Demand is set to outstrip supply by between 20 to 40% during 2019

Already we know of one UK producer who has increased their prices by a staggering 40%!
