EAS is a gasket manufacturer, producing an ever-growing selection of parts for almost every conceivable industry. Predominantly in the UK and Europe, the company also supplies parts into strategic outlets worldwide. Our first gasket was produced back in 2002. Since then, we’ve have ensured we take the same care and attention over each part, no matter how big or small. Our focus is strictly on our customers needs – from 1 off to multi-million requirements !

Gasket: a layer of material between two mating surfaces engineered to form a sufficient seal to stop leaks, ingress of foreign materials etc.

While this is the basic definition of any ‘Gasket’ – the alternative materials converted today seems never-ending. Our expertise in selecting the right material and production process for each application is a major part of our service.

Most gaskets are fabricated from sheet or roll material using relatively simple hydraulic and pneumatic presses. With increased complexity of these machines comes the ability to manufacture faster, to higher tolerances and with maximum yields. We also ensure minimum waste. Optimising all areas of process is paramount for any company looking to provide the most competitive product. We we take pride in ensuring all our processes follow this ethic.

Production

An Eclectic Gasket Manufacturer

At EAS we have bought together various processes to manufacture our gaskets including soft materials such as rubber and cork. We also process harder materials such as metals or ceramics.

Our processes include:

rotary cutters,
CNC routers,
CNC milling,
hydraulic and pneumatic presses,
automatic ‘drag’ knives,
oscillating knives,
water-jet cutting,
laser cutting.
and hand fabrication.

Metallic gaskets are produced on similar equipment which also includes corrugation presses, winding machines and lathes.

These different methods give us the capability to produce a single part or multi-million batches of parts at highly competitive rates.

Types Of Soft Cut Gasket
These include all types of rubbers, corks, felts, papers, plastics (ie PTFE), non-asbestos, graphite, mica, and foil or tanged/pegged metal reinforced materials along with more expensive grades such as silver loaded silicone for instance.

Information
For us to quote, we often only need to know the shape, dimensions, thickness and preferred material. If you are unsure of the material, then we’ll need to know details of the application such as working temperature, pressure, medium and flange details to be able to offer the correct solution.

The Right Part

Ensuring you are quoted and receive the right part for your application at a competitive price is always our objective. Along with branded materials we are often able to offer un-branded grades in equivalent qualities where necessary. However – we will never compromise where parts are safety critical.

Gaskets and Sheet Materials

We appreciate that many customers – especially those in process industries can have very costly break-downs. While offering a fast delivery on cut parts, we also offer sheet materials for engineers to cut ‘emergency’ gaskets on site. Replies are normally made within minutes on a working day and despatches can be made for next day delivery across the UK and Europe!

From sample gaskets, templates or mating flanges – we are able to reverse engineer almost any gasket for most applications.

Most people will associate the word ‘gasket’ with cars – we do our best not to supply the automotive market directly, but are increasingly becoming a ‘third-tier’ supplier through trading companies that we deal with.

We do however, get deeply involved with classic and vintage vehicles – and especially with heavy-duty diesel engines used in trains, generators, ships, mining etc – and welcome all enquiries for these !

While we don‘t class ourselves as an ’automotive’ manufacturer – we take pride in supplying classic and heavy duty engine and vehicle parts for out of warranty plant!
