KLINGERSIL C4500 is a premium quality high-pressure non-asbestos sheeting suitable for use with high temperature alkaline compounds and super-heated steam. It is a superior performance product designed for the use in the chemical industry.
Description
C4500 is a premium grade non-asbestos sheet material meeting the requirements of BS7531 grade X.
It is based on carbon fibre construction with a Nitrile rubber binder and both surfaces incorporate the 3xA anti-stick finish.
Particularly good in steam applications and where high alkaline levels are present, the material also has good resistance to oils, fuels and hydrocarbons.
Along with the BS7531 Gr X approval, the material is also approved to DVGW, BAM and TA-Luft.
Material Identification
The material is dark grey on both sides with the branding and grade printed on one side and has inherent non-stick properties from a surface layer introduced during the manufacturing process.
For traceability purposes, each sheet is also batch stamped.
Usage
Resistant to oils, fuels, hydrocarbons, steam and many general alkaline compounds. Typically it is used in heating, power generation, paper milling and various chemical applications at temperatures up to 300°C.
Availability
Available in standard 1.5m x 2.0m sheets in 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm thicknesses.
In addition we also supply the material in cut gasket form, or smaller 1.5m x 0.5m pr 1.5m x 1m sheets. Larger 1.5m x 4m sheets can also be supplied to order
Cross Reference to equivalent materials
In general equivalent materials will work in the same environments, different material densities will result in different bolting pressures and gasket stresses. If changing materials in situations where materials are working at their extremes, we always suggest alternatives are tested – but we are happy to provide information for particular applications and test where necessary on your behalf.
