Cutting Heavy Duty Sheet and Matting

While we have regularly cut heavy duty rubber sheeting up to 50mm, we have generally used our water-jet cutter to give the best cut, with the highest tolerances.

With the introduction of new CNC machinery, and in partnership with our sister company, Horsemat, we are now happy to cut rubber sheet and matting products, up to 40mm thick – using much faster (and cheaper!) CNC cutting machines.

Our latest machine is not only multi-axis, but includes non-contact measurement on the machine. This enables us to measure and automatically CAD parts on the machine and to then make an automatic tool change to machine that part in materials such as plastics, rubber, foam and even wood.

Why Heavy Mats

Horsemat have looked at heavier and heavier matting for the toughest applications.

While heavy horses can be up to 2 tonnes in weight, we’ve gone even further! By learning about the needs of large animals, both in the wild and in captivity, Horsemat have developed systems for different applications for animals such as Rhinos – as much as 4 tonnes in weight !

Using EAS cutting equipment, these heavy duty mats can be cut precisely, ensuring they do not move in use, and can incorporate various layers for added comfort.
