‘Profit’ Economy Grade Non-Asbestos Sheeting

0.5mm £20.95 3mm £69.66 per 1.5mt x 1.5mt sheet

‘Profit’ s a  general purpose economy ‘Non-Asbestos’ sheeting material produced by Gambit, the leading European gasket materials manufacturer in Poland and distributed throughout the UK by EAS Ltd.

Description

Profit is a low parameter sheet, recommended mostly for water and sewage mains. The material is currently under test for drinking water approval in the UK.

It is based on natural fibres, mineral fibres and fillers based around an NBR rubber binder.

The material classification to DIN 28091-2 is FA-AM1-0.

It is also approved to the GOST R standard.

Material Identification

Profit is a branded material, light green on both sides with the branding and grade printed on one side.

The material has inherent non-stick properties from a surface layer introduced during the manufacturing process.

For traceability purposes, each sheet is also batch stamped.

Usage

Generally resistant to water,  low grade oils, low temperature steam and general chemicals. It is typically used in water feed pipelines such as process cooling water and also in waste water and sewage applications.

Availability

Profit is available in standard 1.5m x 1.5m sheets in 0.5mm, 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm thicknesses.

Other options include 4mm, 5mm and 6mm (note these are not laminated sheets – but made to thickness). Larger  1.5m x 3m sheets can also be supplied to order.

For special production runs (typically mixed thickness of 600kgs plus) we are able to colour the material to your choice and also supply the sheeting unbranded.

Additional

Wire reinforcement is also available in this material – the identification for this Profit-W – the W suffix denoting wire (see relevant product). For steel reinforced sheeting, there is a surcharge of £14.00 per sheet 1.5mt x 1.5mt.

For additional Mica Anti-Stick, there is an extra £2.50 per sheet and where Graphite Anti-Stick is required, also an extra £2.50 per sheet. These are typically supplied on production of approx 2 weeks.

Cross Reference to equivalent materials

In general equivalent materials will work in the same environments, different material densities will result in different bolting pressures and gasket stresses. If changing materials in situations where materials are working at their extremes, we always suggest alternatives are tested – but we are happy to provide information for particular applications and test where necessary on your behalf.
