Unlike many companies in our industry EAS is approved to ISO9001 for the design of Gaskets and Seals. Alongside Manufacture, the combination of CAD Design and Technical Support is seen as an important service to our customers. As basic skills are being lost in our industry, it is imperative we use the latest equipment and working methods.
ISO9001:2015 Approval at EAS Ltd has always covered design, and we have been involved in many projects over the last 20 years.
2D and 3D CAD facilities are available in-house and from our tool-makers for CAD drawings – which are used either for tool-production, or for product manufacture through one of our CAD/CAM machines. We are able to produce drawings from samples using a range of measurement devices, both contact and non-contact – gaskets, seals or any shaped product can be undertaken.
The latest 2mt x 2mt Kimla CNC multi-axis machine at EAS incorporates a non-contact Renishaw measuring probe system. This allows us not only to check material thicknesses, but all dimensions of machined parts during production. Utilising the full 2mt x 2mt bed of the machine gives us capability for some of the largest parts we make.
This combination automates measurement to improve accuracy, reduce errors, and increase efficiency by measuring tools and parts directly on the machine. Information retrieved can then be integrated with the CNC control.
Our newest acquisition will be confirmed shortly and will give us full CMM capability for all parts manufactured and supplied !
We are approved to ISO 9001:2015 for design and can offer advice, or help design / re-design any of the parts that we are able to supply across the many different types of materials we handle.
CAD Design and Technical Support are fundamental to our business, and have helped us win many major contracts.
We can also use our extensive material manufacturer base to ascertain correct materials for specific applications, and in many cases can also organise for testing to be made on these materials.
We are happy to make site visits to ascertain stock levels and types of product. Confirming existing materials is one regular requirement by customers. From an inventory check we can determine which parts we can offer and provide up-to-date costs. Extensive customer stocks for call-off and scheduled orders are also held at our warehouse, always ensuring no delays on delivery.
