Our Sister company Horsemat, has always helped Horse and Donkey charities, both here in the UK and as far afield as Spain and Cyprus.
They’ve now ventured even further, and with bigger animals in mind!
Teaming up with private Game Lodge owners in South Africa, Horsemat are looking to help promote Rhino conservation in the Black Rhino Game Reserve, on the edge of the Pilanesberg National Park 3 hours north of Johannesburg.
Our Directors, Kim and Steve, are animal lovers, and this is reflected in Horsemat’s work with charitable Horse and Donkey trusts. Having spent several years travelling around the World, South Africa and it’s Wildlife have become very close to their hearts, and in particular the plight of the Black Rhino.
Working with a local wildlife trust, Horsemat are looking to raise awareness at one reserve, which will hopefully then spread as different organisations are linked – helping more people, who also travel to these parks, to understand and contribute to, the conservation efforts.
Horsemat also has links with local Zoos and Parks in the UK, designing and supplying different products for animal welfare management. This includes special heavy duty designed bedding systems for Rhino’s – which we will also install (while the Rhino’s are locked outside!)
