We are able to offer equivalent materials to many common grades such as Nebar.

The matrial is still widely used in many applications and is an invaluable, inexpensive sealing material that often out-performs many modern alternative materials. Cork Gaskets, for instance, are still used in many Automotive applications – such as sump/oil pan gaskets.
Normally used in contact with oils and greases, Nitrile or Neoprene bonded corks are the most common gasket materials used.

East Anglian Sealing is a major distributor of Cork sheeting products in the UK and Europe. Having had lots of experience with many different applications for cork over the past 40 plus years, we are able to advise on the correct grades for each application.
The material has many uses – most commonly in Automotive production it has been used for sump gaskets, and in the tank industry, for manway gaskets on fuel tanks. It’s cellular structure produces a compressible material that has very good recovery properties. The material absorbs vibration and sound, so is often found in acoustic applications or as foot-plates under heavy machinery to reduce vibration transfer.
