Based in East Anglia, and working from converted farm buildings – we have a vested interest in the Countryside, and for all those who support the communities that rely on ‘Country’ businesses.
As an example, gaskets and seals for Agricultural Tractors (and also those machines that cross-over into ‘construction’) have been produced by us for many years.
Today in the UK, engine gaskets come from a variety of different manufacturers;
AGCO POWER (previously Valmet) – manufactured in Finland – used in Massey Ferguson, Fendt and JCB Fastrac. Their engines replaced Caterpillar engines in the Challenger when they were rebranded under Fendt .
CATERPILLAR now used in Class Avero and Lexion combines in the UK , tractors are not really their think but after selling the Challenger brand.
CUMMINS currently produce for JCB loaders in the UK with engines also supplied for John Deere models.
DEUTZ produce engines for Deutz-Fahr and Same and also the Fendt Vario range along with Argo and Zetor. Engines for telescopic handlers are supplied to Class, Manitou, Kramer and several others.
FPT INDUSTRIAL fitting Case and New Holland tractors, Agrifac sprayers, McCormick tractors and Class Elios and Axion tractors amongst others with production in Italy, China, Brazil and Argentina.
JCB is a new manufacturer in the market, opting to switch to its own engine production back in 2004. Fitted mostly to handlers and construction machines, the power units are also used in equipment such as the Mazotti sprayer.
JOHN DEERE produces engines at plants in France and the USA for almost all of its range of tractors. Class also use the engines in their Arion tractors.
KUBOTA produce smaller engines for it ‘s own range of tractors, while also supporting Manitou, Dieci, Avant and Merlo for they forklifts and handlers.
MAN – although originally known for its truck engines, the acquisition of various companies over the years has led the company to now supply units for part of the Fendt and Agco range, with larger output engines being used by companies such as Class for harvesters.
MTU supplies Class for harvester engines and Xerion for their tractors.
PERKINS are mostly seen now on older models of Massey Ferguson and CNH tractors, some larger capacity engines are used on sprayers, and CATERPILLAR (who own Perkins) use their engines on telehandlers.
SSF engines are fitted to Deutz-Fah, Class, Lamborghini (yes they still make tractors!) and Same tractors.
VOLVO PENTA although often more associated with marine engines, their units can be found in Volvo tractors and construction equipment.
ZETOR manufactures its own engines for its tractor range in the Czech Republic.
As you can see. there are a variety of different engines used in vehicles working everyday in the UK. As these machines run outside warranty, aftermarket parts are regularly used to maintain them – and very successfully.
