The East Anglian Sealing Company is proud to be classed as an SME. The character of our company hopefully reflects the surroundings and many years of hard-work that has taken place around us.

Unlike larger companies, that often become faceless, self indulgent and profit orientated, we like to be industrious and friendly towards our customers and suppliers.

Working from refurbished farm buildings dating back over 200 years – we make our surroundings work for us. Very much like our predecessors who used the land around us to their best advantage.

Today, our small industrial estate at Bulmer, includes our sister company Horsemat, Splinters (outside caterers), Pure Tree Design (design and manufacture in wood), Dr Roberts Guitars (guitar manufacture and repair) and ourselves.

Evolution of our site

We are lucky to have a land-owner who is passionate about History! Over the years, and with the help of some top archaeologists, our site and the surrounding area have been scrutinised by many experts.

More recently, digs have unveiled the previous Manor House – dating from around 1200AD to 1800AD – and also two previous phases of building taking us back to later Romano-British ages – around 100AD – 300AD.

Better than that ! field-walking around us often turns up stone tools – and excavations took the site back through Bronze Age, Iron Age and into the Neolithic period – in excess of 6000 years habitation on the site!

The map below is from 1755 – older maps dating back to the Domesday Book can be found – but are often difficult to match to the usual Google aerial views we all see nowadays !
